A 'Learning Space' Model to Examine the Suitability
for Learning of Mobile Technologies

Mobile Learning is an emerging paradigm that has yet to be clearly
defined. To better understand the nature of mobile learning we propose
a multi-dimensional learning space model that can be extended as
new technologies and new ways of using existing technologies are
developed. The potential use of a specific technology for a particular
type of leaning within the space is evaluated by using the Quality
Function Deployment (QFD) set of tools. It is hoped that the model
will help to identify and classify types of learning facilitated
by mobile environments and to explore particular combinations of
learning and technology.
